Prerequisites

The following is a list of required prerequisite science and mathematics courses is based on the 2007-08 Undergraduate Catalog.

  • CHE 140 General Chemistry I (4 hrs.)
  • CHE 141 General Chemistry II (4 hrs.)
  • CHE 220 Organic Chemistry (5 hrs.)
  • MAT 120 Finite Math or 144 Pre-Calculus (4 hrs.)
  • BSC 196 Biological Diversity (4 hrs.)
  • BSC 197 Molecular & Cellular Basics of Life (4 hrs.)
  • BSC 260 Microbiology (4 hrs.)

In addition, students must take at least 6 hours from the following courses:

  • BSC 181 Human Physiology & Anatomy I (or KNR 181) (4 hrs.)
  • BSC 182 Human Physiology & Anatomy II (or KNR 182) (4 hrs.)
  • BSC 203 Cell Biology (3 hrs.)
  • BSC 219 Genetics (3 hrs)
  • BSC 220 Laboratory in Molecular and Cellular Biology (2 hrs.)
  • BSC 283 Animal Physiology (4 hrs.)
  • CHE 215 Fundamentals of Analytical Chemistry (2 hrs.)
  • CHE 242 Basic Biochemistry (3 hrs.)
