RHIT-HIM Online Sequence

Since 1973, Illinois State University has awarded Bachelor’s of Science degrees in Health Information Management to our on-campus students.

Beginning Fall semester 2010, the Health Information Management Program will expand its HIM degree sequences to include the RHIT-HIM Online Sequence.

The new HIM sequence is designed for a special group of health information students…those who have a current RHIT certification and are graduates of an accredited college program in Health Information Technology.

If you answer “yes” to the following questions, ISU’s RHIT-HIM Online Sequence may be the program for you.

1. Do you have an Associate’s Degree or an Applied Associate’s Degree in Health Information Management?
2. Do you have a current RHIT certification?
3. Do you want to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management but can’t come to campus?
4. Do you want the RHIA certification?
5. Do you have some or all of ISU’s General Education courses?
6. Do you want to obtain an online degree in the comfort of your own home?
7. Do you have reliable Internet access for downloading readings and assignments that might include audio and video?
