Health Sciences Scholarships and Awards

Each of the five degree programs in the department offers scholarships and awards each year on a competitive basis for its students. Application materials are made available to students in the fall and winter, and students are honored in the spring at the annual Student Recognition Day. See below for a list of scholarships and awards that are available for each program in the department. For detailed information about a particular item, please see the Program Director for the degree program associated with that award.  

Medical Laboratory Science Scholarships

  • Jones Award -ASCP exam expenses. Financial need and reflective statement.
  • Wood Scholarship - $750 – academic excellence, commitment to CLS profession.
  • Corsaut Scholarship - $500 – academic excellence, commitment to profession, financial need.
  • Martens Scholarship - $500 – academic excellence, community service.
  • Spencer Scholarship - <$500 – academic excellence, financial need, African American heritage.

  • EH Discovery Scholarship - <$2000 over two years. Assistance for those changing to EH later in college career.

  • Nolte Scholarships -Two $500 awards each year. academic excellence, commitment to profession, financial need.
  • Long Award - $250 toward the purchase of text books and other materials for school. Professional Development, preference given to minority students.

  • HIM Portfolio Award - $200 toward expenses for the RHIA exam. Academic excellence, professional commitment.
  • FORE Scholarship – academic excellence, professional commitment.

  • KellerOnline University Program Scholarship, one $5000 award and five $1000 awards – professional development, academic achievement.
